Two-thirty AM the night before my trip? Now is a good a time as any to start the blogging marathon. I promised to blog every stinkin detail of this trip to the Pots Treatment Center in Dallas, and that’s exactly what I’m planning on doing.
My flight doesn’t leave until 8:00PM tonight, which gives me a solid seventeen and a half hours to finish packing, drink Powerade, and fight off the ensuing panic attacks.
I got an email from the treatment center earlier this week and they asked me to make sure I bring my laptop to my session. I’m guessing this means that there is software that needs to be installed for me to take home and practice. I’m hoping they have a better way to get it on my computer besides using a CD-Rom, because I don’t have a CD-Rom drive. Because I don’t think they even make those anymore.
They also sent me a few documents to fill out. One of which was just a medical document release and the rest was a questionnaire about my symptoms and medical history. I had these, along with all my travel reservation stuff printed out at an Office Depot yesterday. No CD-ROM, no printer? Can’t figure out if that means I’m cheap, behind in technology or ahead.
Anyway. Not sure I’ll post again before I touch down in Dallas–but just so you’re not out of the loop– I’ll be freaking out here until about 10AM then heading to Publix to pick up contact solution, bagel chips and ziplock bags. After that I’ll go back to freaking out at our apartment—and at around 5:00PM I’ll conclude my freaking out at my mom’s house and reward my perseverance with a large dose of Xanax, slip into a state of wobbliness and board my plane.
